  • Why did I have to quit band? I wanna be a band nerd. D:

Why? My two best friends are rabid band nerds and I saw their concert this morning. I really want to be a part of that again. I never actually did get to experience high school band.

Maybe it's better this way? I was a fat, whiny bitch back at freshman band camp, and I hated marching with a passion. Also, with this back pain I have, I don't know if I'd be able to march an alto saxophone. But I still really wish I belonged somewhere!

I guess next semester drama will be my savior. But that has its drawbacks as well. My two best friends in the whole wide world (Kelsey and Cara) are always talking about band...

Plus! The two cutest most amazing guys are in band. I know that no one has a chance to date them, least of all me, but I want to be there for all the stories Kelsey and Cara tell me, not just hear them! Like Cara told me today that in the band locker room she saw them changing. She saw them with their shirts off. I want that.

Also, Kelsey and Cara have been playing these wicked pranks on Kelsey's ex-asshole. They emptied their spitvalves on his letter jacket and hid his trombone case. If you're not a band nerd, you have no idea how amazing that is. They rock.

All the cool people are in band and I just wish that I could be a cool person too.

  • Writer's block...

I have nothing worthwhile to write about today so I've decided to write about that. This'll only work once so let's hope it turns out well (fingers crossed).

I decided not to write about guys. That is because I have an utterly unrealistic idea of what a guy should be. In my mind, he needs to be perfect: looks, personality, smarts, the whole schpiel. Until my image of a man is revised, I will not write about them.

I decided not to write about school. All I do at school is make sick jokes with my two best friends, and work harder than everyone else. The truth is, no one wants to hear about my school. Until something interesting happens, I will not write about school.

I decided not to write about media. TV, music, books and other forms of media are not interesting enough to post about. I have realized that no one gives a baboon's buttocks about anime and if I want anyone to read what I have to say I will stop. Until a great show/song/book comes out, I will not write about media.

I decided not to write for the sole purpose of complaining. I have much to complain about, but nothing really to say. I can complain about all the shit forced into me at school, and about the overwhelming evidence that we will all die due to our own mistakes, but I won't. Until my life is in a hole, I will not write to complain.

Now that you know what I will not write about, let me make it known that it is quuite possible that tomorrow, I may well write about any number of these things. I just didn't feel smart enough today to post about one of these things and make it seem...not bad.

    What is your latest obsession?

    Asia.

I've recently gotten into anime and manga (as stated before, your ridicule is welcome) and Asia, especially Japan, seems like a better, cooler place than America.

They focus on things like inventions that help the world, but it seems like all we focus on is food and making everything big.

Plus, the men are smexy, and the music is more interesting than American stuff.

the above picture is a man named Hyde from a Japanese rock band named L'arc~En~Ciel. Sexy man, good music, point proven. Asia rocks.

I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

I would just like to open with a simple statement: friends are absolutely superb.

Not that I didn't know that before, but I am finally affiliated with a group of friends that are actually fun.

    So here's the long version:

Me, Kelsey (mentioned in my blog at www.freewebs.com/yourchemicaltaco) , Renee, Shana, Sarah and a beautiful gay man named Ryan all went to the christmas light show downtown last night. While we were all standing in line waiting for our tickets and being freaks, there was this strikingly un-creepy upper middle aged man standing behind us with a little boy. We toned down the nastiness for the little boy's sake, but later, when Sarah and I were dancing down the sidewalk, he said "there they are..." in a voice that implied something along the lines of "Christ, Jimmy, run!" Then when we were in the Asian garden room getting hot chocolate, we accidentally touched an ancient Ming dynasty sculpture...we thought it was concrete.

After our marvelous gay friend left, there were six of us trying to fit in a car made to seat five. We made it work, by having Kelsey lay on top of me, Sarah, and Shana, while Renee sat in the front with her brother. that was probably the most interesting half hour of my life. For one, it was more than a little painful, because Kelsey is all bones; also the five of us girls were screaming and presenting "what if" scenarios like crazy (what if the car crashes? Well then Kelsey will die and cushion us with her dead body!). Poor Alex was just cursing quietly in the driver's seat, but he got really tense when a cop passed us with his sirens on.

Finally, we got back in one piece without being caught. We watched some youtube videos on Renee's Wii and then trekked downstairs and played "What if." It's an amazing sleepover game and I strongly recommend it. you write a what if question on a piece of paper ("What if poop could fly?") and switch with someone else. You all write answers to the question you got ("then toilets would be useless.") then one person reads their question and the next person reads their answer. We got some crazy stuff, the best f which was probably something along the lines of: Question-What if you could tell your parents anything? Answer- Then we'd all be lesbians.

We did some more stuff but its probably only interesting if you were there. I just want to tell everyone! hehe

anyway, you should tell me about your weekend. I'm sorry about my boring rant but it was way fun to type. :)

    luv you,

    -Auvi-
